GREEN AMBER FOR ESSPIN IN ICAI REPORT
The DFID Education Sector Support Programme in Nigeria (ESSPIN) has been awarded a Green-Amber in the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI) review of UK-government funded education programmes in Nigeria.
Managed by a consortium led by Cambridge Education, ESSPIN is a six-year programme supporting federal and state governments – Enugu, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara and Lagos – to develop effective planning, financing and delivery systems that will improve the quality of basic education.
The report found that ESSPIN was “delivering results on the ground through a commitment to implementation follow-through.” Cambridge Education was also commended for being responsive to feedback following an independent mid-term review and for its commitment to transparency and knowledge sharing.
