ESSPIN Supported School wins National Award

Christ Assembly Primary School in Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA, Lagos state, has won the ‘Best School in Nigeria’ Award, at the 2013, President Teachers’ and Schools’ Excellence Award at Abuja.

The school received ESSPIN’s support through the School Improvement Programme (SIP) initiative, and has recorded remarkable improvements in school management and development.

ESSPIN piloted the SIP model initially in selected schools, and this laudable initiative has received a massive boost from the Lagos state government through increased funding for teachers’ training and professional support. Now the SIP initiative is being rolled-out in all schools in Lagos state.

Christ Assembly Primary School is recognised nationally as the best school out of 54,434 public schools in the country. Key stakeholders, including parents and pupils, from across the statewitnessed the launch.
